It's almost the new year, and, for a while, I have been thinking about what I am going to do to make 2018 different from any year before. For starters, I am actually going to keep up my New Year's Resolutions. In the past I have always given up on my resolutions in about a week, but this year I am determined to do something that will positively impact my life.
My 2018 New Year's Resolutions:
1. Live a Healthy Lifestyle
This is the first thing on my list. I tried to drink more water in the beginning of the school year, but then got too lazy to keep up with filling and refilling my water bottle. On top of that I am going to make better choices about what I eat. This is mainly focused on breakfast. I plan to avoid just taking cereal in a bag everyday because I slept in; I will actually wake up on time and make a healthy breakfast for myself. Lastly, my family just got a new spin bike that will be delivered in a few days. I am so excited to use it. Exercising is becoming important to me now that I am no longer participating in sports. This will help me stay in shape, and improve my mood.
2. Use a planner
This year I will actually write down all of my homework assignments in a planner, instead of relying on my memory. Even though not using a planner has for the most part worked for me in the past, I believe that it will also encourage me to write down my workout schedule and help me maintain my first resolution.
3. Have fun
Finally, the resolution I am most excited for. This is my senior year, I am done with college applications, and pretty much everything I need to do to academically prepare myself for the next four years of my life. I plan to go out more and do more things that are fun, things that won't make me worry about a grade on a test or the other admissions decision letters I am waiting for. This year will be fun.
